(RareCarMarket.com) – It’s pretty safe to say Ford has a place in the hearts of many Americans. The company’s founder, Henry Ford, revolutionized the manufacturing process of cars with his use of the assembly line, and the country never looked back. Over time, the television commercials for the company have become almost as iconic as its cars — especially the ones from 1957.
Thanks to its selection of station wagons, sedans, and convertibles, 1957 was an incredible year for Ford. Yet, at the time, they likely didn’t think their cars would ever become what they are today. While the commercials were simple, they made the point that everyone should be driving a Ford because the brand had unique styling and comfort.
Ford’s commercials did their best to relate to everyday Americans, asserting that people who most enjoyed life chose to drive a Ford vehicle. The cars were big, but people loved them and their low prices and solid construction.
Many people show timeless love for Ford through their appreciation of the company’s classic cars, ranging from the Mustang and the Fairlane to their Thunderbirds and pickup trucks. It’s easy to wax nostalgic over classic Ford vehicles and commercials, but one day, perhaps, a future generation will feel just as nostalgic for the Ford models (and commercials) of today.
